Two years is a better age to start schooling for a child. Years will go by if we consider that the child should be educated only at the age of six or only when he starts speaking. Investigations proved that any person develops 50% to 60% of his intelligence during the period between conception and four years and another 30% between the ages of four to eight years. Very little is done thereafter.
It is best to start to part the child from mother at the age of two years after this age it becomes hard for the child to separate from mother.
When a two year old joins Montessori we donot see much interaction between children. A child might be doing an activity related to his own and will not actually be interacting with another child but he prefers to stay along side others and work. He motivates himself to do those activities available in the environment observing indirectly other older children. Infact it is the best time for him to see older children mingle with each other and play with each other.
